CYPRUS. Salamis. Uncertain kings, circa 480-460 BC. Stater (Silver, 20 mm, 11.01 g, 9 h). Ram recumbent right; pellet-in-crescent above. Rev. 𐠃-𐠐-𐠪-𐠞 ('pa-si-le-wo' in Cypriot syllabic script, for 'pasilewose' = basileos, king) Large ornate ankh enclosing 𐠞; all within incuse square. BMC -, cf. pl. X, 1 (Gorgos?) and 8 (ram to left). Naumann 52 (2017), 210 var. (differing legend arrangement). Tziambazis -. Extremely rare. The obverse struck from a worn die and with some deposits, otherwise, very fine.
